Join the FIESTA DUNES GOLF CLUB for members, family and friends of OMBAC * Automatically be
invited to all OMBAC Golf Tourneys in Advance Fees will be $40 for a new member of FDGC (Where you've never had a handicap or you"ve let it drop for a year), $25 for a dual membership in 2 or more clubs (where you stay as a member of both Torrey and Fiesta Dunes) and $20 for a transfer membership (where you drop your Torrey membership and transfer it to Fiesta Dunes). Get the form from Nedley by email (nedley@san.rr.com) or at a meeting. You fill it our and give to Ed or Ned and we'll take care of the rest. Here's the "Plan" for Fiesta Dunes. Initially our goal is simply to provide a place where our golfers can establish their very own handicap. The cost is being kept extremely low to make this your first choice for handicapping. Of the initial fee, $30 goes to SCGA, of the dual fees, $15 goes to SCGA and to simply transfer your handicap membership to FDCG the SCGA costs a mere $10. So far the only costs have been for Ed and Ned to go to LA for the initial training on club management and those costs, including the cocktails on the trip home were nominal. ***** |

The Next OMBAC Golf Tournament Will Be November 14th

Club Name: The club name started out to be OMGOLF and that name may be used from time to time for convenience - such as on OMBAC's webpage - BUT it was felt that a fine top-notch golf club should have a name amongst the classics. Many names were considered and many cocktails were consumed. Consider Pebble Dunes, Spygate, Torrey Way South, Bethparagraph Black and on and on. We finally determined that our club must, at all costs, be personal to us. We don't come from Rancho Santa Fe or Pebble Beach for God's sake - we're from Fiesta Island. So it was named! The club is officially "on'line" as of March 1st since we signed up the requisite number of new members. You may post your scores on-line, assuming that you've turned in your app and your fees.Down the Line it would be the hope of the Club to set up periodic games for the members at course that would welcome us and not be too expensive. Obviously with everyone having legit handicaps, there would have to be a club championship somewhere down the line. Keep tuned. Contact us at nedley@san.rr.com or edmartin@san.rr.comm. Ed and Ned are prepared to deal with any and all handicap questions that may arise. Golf Rules, you may ask?? Not just yet. That training program is down the line somewhere. Rules issues don't come up too often at OMGolf Scramble Golf Tournaments.
